Three Stooges Call for War and Bombs and Weapons and Killing

The Washington Post carried an article today titled, "Senators McCain, Lieberman and Graham urge US to arm Syrian rebels, get tough on Iran nukes"

This is high level propaganda filled with lies, misinformation and disinformation.

"U.S. Senators John McCain, Joe Lieberman and Lindsay Graham on Friday urged Washington to help arm Syria’s rebels with weapons and create a safe zone inside the country for a transition government. They also called for a far tougher position against Iran over its suspected — and seemingly inexorable — drive toward acquiring nuclear weapons capability."

First of all, anything related to U.S. foreign policy these three stooges call for should be immediately rejected simply because they are neocon traitors to the Consititution and this country. Secondly, the article flat out lies about Iran. Thirdly, if the neocons want to arm the Syrian rebels so badly, why do you think that is? If you choose humanitarian reasons, go sit in the corner.

“We should be supplying weapons to the opposition to Assad (and) I strongly support the creation of a safe zone,” said Lieberman, the 2000 Democratic vice presidential nominee, who has since become a Connecticut independent.

This is it. The neocon cabal represented by the three stooges is renewing it's call for a no fly zone, i.e., a bombing attack on another country. Before the election and before the debates. Interesting timing. However, Russia and China still won't play at the U.N., so a U.N. resolution seems out of the question.

Hard to say what the Three Stooges are doing, but it ain't good.

He's THE neocon front man in the Senate,

and the neocons are inextricably linked to Israel. They were sent out for a reason, probably reasons, part propaganda, part political. .Evidently Netanyahoo isn't very happy the Obama admin isn't being more forcefull so this might be to drum up some of that. Maybe force Obama into something in the debates.

Here's hoping

they come rescue us when the oligarchy has starved us into rebellion and is kicking our asses.

An economist said that in its quest for "full spectrum dominance", the U.S. attempts to weaken competitors like Russia. The first thing they did in Libya was cancel their debt to Russia. This is why Russia is unlikely to play ball again. I believe that Syria also owes Russia money.

I wish this were overwrought, simplistic dribble. Alas, this is to the point and definitive. It's amazing what the truth sounds like these days. No wonder nobody can believe it.

I was reading an article today about how the US is

containing China and has been for decades. Keeping Africa down, keeping Asia and India down, that's what the imperialists do. And who does it affect, billions of innocent people. It's the same as with slavery and native american genocide, "who do they think they are"? Who do we think we are that we can conduct actions that are detrimental to billions of people just to give our corporations, banks, and elite the advantage.? And even ourselves, we're all complicit if we go along.

Great post Big Al

Three stooges works well. Unfortunately there are more than three of them if we look at all of the propaganda we've seen over the years. These are three of the latest neocon clowns to show their arses to the world. Here is a look at some of the others: http://www.ameu.org/Current-Issue/Current-Issue/2012---Volume-45/The-Neo...

Quoting a couple of paragraphs here:

Dr. Mohamed ElBaradei, the former director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency, calls these neocons the new crazies. But are they? They are well educated, most with post-graduate degrees, many from ivy-league colleges. They are passionately dedicated to advancing the best interests of Israel; Sheldon Adelson, one of the few neocons to have served in the U.S. military, regrets that the uniform he wore was not an Israeli uniform. They have vast sums of money to spend on think-tanks, media outlets—and politicians.

And, despite their championing of a calamitous war in Iraq, and notwithstanding the most recent N.I.E. report, and even assessments from Israeli intelligence agencies, they believe they can convince Americans, and certainly most members of congress, that the United States should send its young men and women yet again into another Middle East war.

If anyone is really interested in Iran's "nuclear ambitions" vs the reality of what it takes to make one bomb, let alone a full magazine full of them such as Israel is suspected of having - 200 to 400 of them, here's an article that should be read: http://www.21stcenturysciencetech.com/Articles_2011/Bastin_Interview.pdf .

Greed and power appear to be the prime motivators for the neocons and, to a lesser degree perhaps, those on a higher level who have the influence to guide our foreign policies.

And 2/3 of the world supports Iran's right to pursue their

chipmo's picture

own ambitions.

Last week, the 120 nations of the Nonaligned Movement voted unanimously and without qualification in support of Iran’s right to produce nuclear energy, and to enrich their own uranium in the process. The Nonaligned Movement makes up about two-thirds of all the nations of the world. As a solid block of humanity, they rejected the dictates of Washington and London and Paris – the imperial powers that for centuries enslaved most of the planet – endorsing the fundamental principle that Iran has the same sovereign rights as any other nation.

Who, then, is isolated in the world – Iran, whose position is backed by two-thirds of the world’s countries, or the U.S. and Europe?

Clearly, the Americans and Europeans still believe that the only world opinion that counts, is the white world. The arrogance of the colonizer and imperialist is infinite, but their power is not – not any longer. The Nonaligned Movement vote is a global referendum, not on Iran’s lawful pursuit of its internal development policies, but on U.S. imperial bullying and criminality. Because, if Iran is within its rights, then the U.S. and the European Union are in the wrong in waging economic war, and threatening military assault, against Iran. Someone is committing a crime, and its not Iran. Two-thirds of the world says so.

It is going to be very interesting

to watch and see what happens after the election. For now the rhetoric with respect to Iran, with respect the Western efforts aimed at regime change in Syria has cooled. I am wondering if this will continue after the election or is this the calm before the storm.

Clearly the Syrian misadventure has thus far met with failure despite all of the propaganda in the beginning - the "Assad's days are numbered" boasts.

Now that more people are aware of the fact that many of the "rats", the hired guns, are of the extremist/purist Wahhabi sect whom we have supposedly been at war with for more than 10 years, and are funded by way of Saudi Arabia and Quatar, have been trained and supplied by the West.

People are now waking up to the fact that rather than an internal revolt as the Western media have attempted to make it out to be, this is an attempt guided by the US, Israel and their Western allies to overthrow the last secular government in the region with the goal of further weakening Iran.

For the moment it might seem that the winds of war are blowing in a different direction.

PARIS, Sept 8 (Reuters) - Foreign Islamists intent on turning Syria into an autocratic theocracy have swollen the ranks of rebels fighting to topple President Bashar al-Assad and think they are waging a "holy war", a French surgeon who treated fighters in Aleppo has said.

In an interview with Reuters in his central Paris apartment on Saturday, the 71-year-old said that contrary to his previous visits to Homs and Idlib earlier this year about 60 percent of those he had treated this time had been rebel fighters and that at least half of them had been non-Syrian.

I tend to think they will have to attack Iran

Big Al's picture

like they are with Syria, although I don't know how that would work in Iran. They won't be able to get a UN resolution, there seems to be too much evidence they aren't developing weapons grade materials and not trying to develop a bomb and too much memory of Bush lying about Iraq. Destablization and balkanization appear to be the name of the game.
Funny how some of us were saying this was a Holy war instigated by the western imperilaists and Israel, and not a civil war, from the beginning but most would not believe, and actually still many don't.
