Commonwealth Court Judge Robert Simpson has handed down his ruling, ordering that Pa's new voter ID law not be enforced for this year's Presidential election. With five weeks to go an appeal is still possible~

Good news.
.
Really good news. I don't see any other way he could
have ruled unless he was partial and partisan, and I'm super happy he was neither, at least for this ruling.
He kind of faked me out...
I really thought he was going to go with that provisional ballot thing--which as we know, would have been a real fiasco.
Oh thank God.
Now we can be assured of an honest election and a winner based on pure democracy.
Its more a necessary thing than a sufficient thing ...
... even if we don't have all the institutional rules needed to have a winner based on "pure democracy" ~ a pure system of the rival elites competing for power based on the support of the electorate ~ losing those bits and pieces for a fair system that we presently do have in place is surely a step in the wrong direction.
Agree.
Two steps back, one step forward is surely better than two steps back.
You DO have a point there, Big Al,
but I'm gonna chalk this one up as a small victory. Every time I had to see that smug bastard in that video say, "done." I didn't know whether I wanted to smack him, puke or both. Oh, and I live in Pa~
