Hey, how many of us were children of the '70s? I sure was and today I would like to stop and look back fondly at some of my favorite moments from the teevee sitcoms.
Barney Miller-The hash brownies episode
Taxi- Reverend Jim's driving test
WKRP In Cincinnati- The phone cops
M*A*S*H-Frank Burns eats worms
There are so many more, many that have no YouTube clips available--just lots of happy memories. What shows do you remember watching as a kid?

Soap-Chuck and Bob meet the family~
That was fun
That show was so fresh and risk-taking. Maybe I'm just old, but everything today seems very careful by comparison, always hedging their bets with the jokes. I loved that show. Bob and Chuck are engraved in memory. Or is it Chuck and Bob? Of course, it was already with the spinoffs.
I'm gathering my embeds now ;)

Fun topic.
I loved those shows. For my first wife and me, Saturday night was spent with All in the Family, Mary Tyler Moore, and the Bob Newhart Show. Do I have that line-up right? And wasn't it Saturday night? That was probably the apex of sitcoms for me.
It's a little off from sitcoms, but still my favorite television show of all time--Fernwood 2nite. I bought a terrible copy on dvd over the internet, and it is still hilarious today.
I even remember the Jack Benny Show with Rochester and the vault, but only vaguely.
I really liked Mary Hartman Mary Hartman, whatever that genre was.
yes, you have that right.
I watched the same line-up~
I miss Bea Arthur
I watched all these. Mary H was a fave.
But I'm old enough to go back to "I Married Joan", "Life of Reilly", "Gale Storm Show", "My Little Margie", et al.
Wow, that brought back a flood of memories
I remember most of those names from being in the room while the family watched, but my only memories of the programs were Gale Storm Show and Life of Reilly. George Burns and the hilarious Gracie Allen were in that time frame, too, I think. I loved the close of that show, when Allen did her vaudeville schtick. Very clever.
Bob Newhart Show bloopers...
