Clean Up the Boston Police Patrolman's Association

Introduction
I've been involved in Occupy since last September. I went down to Liberty Square about one week after the occupation began and stayed for 5 days, then returned to join the occupation in my hometown, Boston.

It's been an interesting personal journey for me. I have no idea what the long-term manifestations of the Occupy movement will look like. What I do know is what a lot of us have realized: at the core of what makes the global society so dysfunctional are the deeply historical roots of oppression and the colonization mentality. Man's inhumanity to man.

Part II, Unemployment and Workfare in the UK: The Fightback

“The industrial reserve army, during the periods of stagnation and average prosperity, weighs down the active army of workers during the periods of over-production and feverish activity, it puts a curb on their pretensions. It confines the field of action of this law to the limits absolutely convenient to capital’s drive to exploit and dominate the workers (Marx, 1867, Capital, volume I, Penguin edition, p. 792).”

I’m not optimistic that our species can think collectively, can decide collectively, nor can it take action on the scale necessary to save everyone.

Voices on the Square: We Care About People and Principles Not Just Politicians

Welcome to Voices on the Square. This place is the place where it's Ok to care about something other than 2012 election race. There are many issues that matter; LIBOR manipulation(the rate of interest banks charge to borrow from each other as the benchmark to all loans) manipulating every global interest rate on ever loan, mortgage, or contract there is by the banking elite involved with this global financial malaise of Barclays, or perhaps boldy pointing out that Obamacare is not really enough actual health care and a massive giveaway to the insurance industry.

Bye bye, The American Dream

A long, long time ago
I can still remember how
This country used to make me smile

And I knew if I worked hard
I could have my own backyard
And maybe I’d be happy for a while.

But the Oligarchy made me shiver
With all the mayhem they delivered
Bad news every morning
We all ignored the warnings

I can’t remember if I cried
When I realized a million died
But something touched me deep inside
The day democracy died.

So
