Cripple Creek District, Colorado - Member of Strike Committee Arrested by Military

Sherman Parker, a member of the strike committee of the Western Federation of Miner, was taken into military custody in the dead of the night. He was awakened shortly after midnight yesterday by a knock at the door, and taken away from his home and family without explanation. We are learning that the military has established a "bullpen" near the Strong Mine in Victor, and believe that Mr. Parker is being held there. He has not been allowed to consult with an attorney.
